The United States diplomatic mission to Indonesia is headed by the Ambassador of the United States, who is the personal representative of the President. U.S. Foreign Service posts in Indonesia are the U.S. Mission in Jakarta, the Consulate General in Surabaya and the Consular Agent in Bali. The U.S. Mission in Jakarta consists of the Embassy, the United States Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Foreign Agricultural Service, the Office of the Defense Attaché (Army, Navy, and Air attaches), the Military Attaché for Defense Programs, the Naval Medical Research Unit #2 (NAMRU-2), and the Library of Congress. The Ambassador is assisted by the Deputy Chief of Mission in directing and coordinating all Mission activities.
Administrative Assistant in the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC).
The incumbent manages all administrative functions within the Office of Defense Cooperation; including, but not limited to, cooperative engagement programs between USPACOM and DoD Activities and the Indonesian Government, Personnel Administration, Public Relations, Office Management, publications library, Correspondences, ODC event schedule, record and file management. The Incumbent assists in planning, preparation, execution and post-event activities for logistic, administration and other support. S/He also assists Financial Management Officer in maintaining financial record and serves as Protocol Officer for the ODC.
Administrative Assistant for the office of DS/ATA Jakarta
The incumbent manages all financial functions and provides administrative support within; including but not limited to, Financial Planning, Budget Development, Budget Execution, and Cost analysis. The incumbent liaises between office in Mega Mendung and the U.S. Embassy Jakarta, and coordinates all logistic, administrative and clerical work to support the programs.
Administrative Assistant for the office of DS/ATA Jakarta in Bogor
The incumbent maintains administration function of DS/ATA office and administers DS/ATA petty cash handling.
Janitor for DS/ATA in Bogor
The incumbent is performs janitorial duties such as sweeping and moping.
Chauffeur for DS/ATA with job location in Jakarta and Bogor
The incumbent perform driving duties for DS/ATA for official purposes
L/Guards (Patrol) in the Local Security Office (LSY)
The patrol guard will patrol one of nine sections in the city which Embassy residences and properties are located. The incumbent will patrol the areas during the course of their shift, check each residence or property to ensure that guards on duty are present and vigilant and that no situation exists which threatens the safety or security of Embassy employees or property.
L/Guards (Watchman) in the Local Security Office (LSY)
The Incumbent performs routine watchman services to safeguard residences of official U.S. Government employees. Incumbent watches assigned area against trespass, checks unauthorized entries and refers doubtful cased to his/her supervisor or the occupant of the house. Reports fire, theft or intruders to his/her supervisor. Performs surveillance detection of surrounding area and develops contacts with the individuals in the neighborhood.
L/Guards in the Local Security Office (LSY)
The Incumbent provides protection for U.S. Government employees, visitors and facilities and equipment from violent attacks, demonstrations, intruders and theft. Conducts inspections focusing on access control at all USG controlled/managed properties, facilities and residences administered by the Embassy. Responds and assist with routine and emergency occurrences at all USG controlled/managed properties to ensure that no situations exist which threaten the safety or security of Embassy employees or property

When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (EFMs) and U.S.Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate address the required qualifications above in the application.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
- Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
- Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
- Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
- (As required): The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a level II (for FSN) security clearance.
- Applicants who are not Indonesian must have a visa status which authorizes employment in Indonesia and must be submitted at the time of application.
